What is iNTELLiTROL^®?
It is a universal data logging and control system that can operate as a stand-alone logger/controller or use a combination of cable and radio telemetry for centralised monitoring and control.

Is the iNTELLiTROL^® system a data recorder?
Yes. An iNTELLiTROL^® system can be used as a stand alone data recorder powered by either battery, solar panel or mains power.

How is data collected?

There are three ways data can be collected:

-          In the field using a lap top connected to the unit via a cable

-          Remotely using either GSM, GPRS or land line modems

-          Radio telemetry (long or short range)

What sensors can be connected to an iNTELLiTROL^® system?
iNTELLiTROL^® is able to read a wide variety of sensors from many manufacturers. There are a few proprietry sensors that do not conform to any electrical standard that may not be able to be connected to iNTELLiTROL^®. If required, new cards can be produced for sensors that are currently not compatible.

Is the iNTELLiTROL™ system up gradable?
The same hardware is used across the whole range of iNTELLiTROL^® products. This means that a stand-alone logger purchased today will not become obsolete if upgrading to a radio telemetry system in the future. By connecting cable or a radio module, loggers can be quickly and economically upgraded to the telemetry system.

Can the iNTELLiTROL^® system be used for both monitoring and controlling?
Yes. By adding output cards the system can also be used to for controlling irrigation's.

Is the iNTELLiTROL^® system a full telemetry system?
Yes. iNTELLiTROL^® can be used as either a stand alone data recorder or a telemetry system where data and control functions are transmitted via cable or radio.

Is it necessary to have an expensive base station for monitoring data?
No. The monitoring and control software can be installed onto a standard Windows^® PC. All that is required is a mast, onto which the antenna is mounted, power and the iNTELLiTROL^® software. The PC becomes the data recorder and irrigation controller.

How many sites can the iNTELLiTROL^® telemetry system monitor?
The on-farm monitoring and control system can connect to up to 250 individual modules. Our web-based monitoring system can handle many tens of thousands of sites.
