Irrigation efficiency; a 47% reduction in water use without compromising turf quality
"We have found the monitoring system to be very simple, hassle free and easy to use.
- We have used the data mostly to monitor moisture in the growing region and then only water as needed and with how much.
- Main advantages is water savings and Bowling Greens with consistent moisture content from one week to the next (excluding rain following irrigation). This allows us to maintain a bowls surface with a more controlled green speed.
- Future sites would be golf greens. Every green would be good but unrealistic at this point. Maybe 2-4greens."
